History Is Made As The Signal Kicks Off The 2023 Season
Tuesday, May 2, 2023
After months of transfixing electronic music fans across the globe, The Signal was finally revealed over a marathon day-into-night spectacular across Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
Those dedicated clubbers, eager to witness history, made the pilgrimage to our opening event as the starting pistol for the 2023 season began. At Ushuaïa Ibiza the iconic outdoor stage hosted jaw-dropping sets from Maceo Plex, Kevin de Vries, Massano and SYREETA.
As the Balearic sun beamed down, spirits soared as we celebrated the return of electronic music to the island. A blistering live set from techno titan Paul Kalkbrenner provided the perfect switch-up at sunset, bringing renewed energy to the dancefloor.
As night fell The Signal radiated out across the masses at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The pulsating spiral of energy engulfed the dancefloor while the sounds of Eric Prydz brought the crowd to a fever pitch. The Signal was revealed and a new era of Ibiza had begun.
After an unforgettable day at Ushuaïa Ibiza, the party continued at Hï Ibiza, where our earth-shaking sound system powered up for the first time this year.
The Signal’s stunning production was beamed into The Theatre as a trilogy of groundbreaking B2Bs brought the future of clubbing to life. The sounds of our Saturday night were well represented as our Club Room resident Damian Lazarus invited Chloé Caillet for a mesmerising journey through kaleidoscopic house and techno. Next our Theatre resident Black Coffee went B2B with Mochakk for a truly unique melding of sounds. Lastly our Tuesday night residents The Martinez Brothers teamed with the mighty Loco Dice to complete our trio of blockbuster B2Bs.
Complimenting our three team-ups were a trio of solo sets that showcased the breadth of Hï Ibiza’s programming, bringing in the full spectrum of house and techno sounds, including Chicago house superstar Honey Dijon, the techy grooves of Chris Stussy and the Afro-leaning electronic of AMÉME.
Over in the Club Room, legendary producer and Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, delivered an innovative display of cutting-edge techno. His set at The Signal ramped up anticipation for his Monday night Theatre residency at HOLO ÏBIZA. Beloved Spanish figurehead Paco Osuna returned to Hï Ibiza, demonstrating his innate familiarity with the Club Room crowd, captivating them with every selection.
Underground club cuts from Anfisa Letyago were a highlight that along with the harder-edge techno of Indira Paganotto and the Berlin-influenced style of Patrick Mason brought an incredible diversity to the return of the No.1 Club in the World.
As The Signal goes down in the history books, there’s barely time to catch your breath as this weekend sees the return of The Colony as ANTS 10 YEARS STRONG hosts the first of three huge day-into-night celebrations of underground house and techno. Join ANTS favourites Andrea Oliva B2B Nic Fanciulli, Chelina Manuhutu, Davide Squillace B2B Matthias Tanzmann, Francisco Allendes, Eats Everything, Kölsch, Patrick Topping and Solardo across Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
On Sunday Glitterbox welcomes you to the greatest house and disco experience on the planet. Their inclusive dancefloor will pulsate with the sounds of Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Carl Craig, Julie Mcknight (live) Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters and many more Glitterbox family.
