David Guetta Hosted A Jaw Dropping Future Rave Opening Party

Saturday, Jun 3, 2023

The Ibiza night air was humming with anticipation on Friday as David Guetta and MORTEN presented the return of Future Rave to Hï Ibiza

One of the most revolutionary residencies on the island, Future Rave united the underground vibe of the rave scene with the stadium-sized sounds of the GRAMMY-Award-winning French DJ and producer.

BBC Radio 1 host, DJ and producer Arielle Free was the first of the star-studded lineup to take the reins in the Theatre. The Scottish tastemaker started the night in explosive fashion with a high-octane mix of cutting-edge new rave tracks and much-adored dancefloor anthems.

The crowd was then swept away by the mesmerising melodic sounds of Meduza. The prodigious Italian production trio have been one of the most talked-about acts in electronic music in recent years, pioneering a unique sound and conquering the world with hits such as “Piece of Your Heart”, “Paradise” and “Lose Control”.

Energy levels reached a new stratosphere as David Guetta took over from Meduza. The biggest name in electronic music treated fans to a rollercoaster tour through the sound of Future Rave. As the dazzling production had the crowd’s jaws on the floor, Guetta had them jumping with his unmatched array of hits and remixes, reimagined to fit seamlessly into the Future Rave ethos.

After an hour-long masterclass from the icon, his Future Rave co-creator joined him in the booth for a blistering B2B that brought the night to a climactic crescendo. As the dancefloor pulsated with positivity, the duo fed off each other’s energy deftly mixing between their individual tastes and styles to create a performance that brought the very best out of both artists.

Over in the Club Room, British institution, Mistajam lit the fuse with a barrage of bass-heavy beats, creating an explosive atmosphere that set the full-throttle tone for the night. He was followed by Future Rave resident and technical wizard, James Hype. The UK star is known for his mindblowing mixing skills, juggled genres and mashed up anthems with an unbelievable artistry that was staggering in its intensity.

After their stunning Theatre performance, fellow Future Rave residents Meduza, took control of the Club Room to close out the night. Taking things in a slightly harder direction than their Theatre set, the Italians had energy levels soaring right up to the very last track.

The future arrived at Hï Ibiza on Friday, and it was an unforgettable experience for all in attendance. Next week David Guetta and Arielle Free will be joined by the mighty ARTBAT in the Theatre, while Meduza and James Hype will welcome Tita Lau to the Club Room.
