Damian Lazarus Releases 20 Years of Crosstown Rebels Essential Mix

Our Saturday night resident, the master of the Club Room, Damian Lazarus, has recorded a two-hour-long Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1
The mix showcases Damian’s signature breadth of musical sounds and textures, including selections as varied as Catz 'n Dogz, Bedouin, Master at Work, Skream and Skepta & Jammer. Damian’s return to the Essential Mix booth, for the first time since 2015, is to celebrate 20 years of his groundbreaking record label, Crosstown Records.
The label, which introduced the world to the likes of Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex and Art Department, has been one of the most influential imprints in electronic music. Damian will celebrate 20 years of madness, magic and music throughout 2023, releasing a retrospective book and a double compilation album with handpicked rarities and newly commissioned remixes.
Damian will take control of our Club Room, alongside Black Coffee in the Theatre, every Saturday night from May 27th - September 30th.
